The beaches

bisceglie_lungomareA succession of coves, some parts are characterized by rock elements, others with white small stones, almost all public beaches.
At this time, the coast has a convenient system of pedestrian and cycle paths.
The whole coast (made by typical stone walls) is used from local people and by the inhabitants of the neighbouring countries as a meeting point in the evening, for walks, to enjoy an ice cream or just to chat.

From B & B Le Terrazze in a short walk you will find 2 kms of coastline to discover, including:

  • “La Batteria” a beach next to the harbour , reachable crossing the pier, is a very clean beach always crowded with families.
  • “Macello” more commonly known as” Prima spiaggia”, followed by “Seconda spiaggia” both composed of white pebbles.

Along the east coast very features are:

  • “Cala del Pantano”, where nature is untouched and wild, still used by fishermen to moor small wooden boats.
  • “Ripalta Caves” where you can see many natural caves, some accessible only by sea.

On the west area are 5 kms of beaches, including:

  • “Salsello” beach frequented by families thanks to the presence of a cove of sand that allows children to play.
  • “Trullo Verde”, where you find the Mediterranean Theatre, built it in 1992, site of concerts and performances in summer.
  • On this side of the coast, on the area that borders the city of Trani, there is the beach called “La Torretta”, very characteristic for the presence of an olden tower, maybe Swabia, overlooking the beach with white pebbles , one of the quieter beaches and don’t frequented by children.

The presence of the past…
